An opportunity to join an established waste and recycling haulage business. A first class experienced Transport Planner / Manager is sought to take responsibility for a large transport operation across southern England. You will be responsible for all aspects of the routing and scheduling of our lorries, and be involved in continuous improvements across the Company.

You will be working in a busy office - the position entails responding to customer requests, planning and managing all routes, collections and deliveries, liaising with the drivers and ensuring all jobs are kept to schedule, rerouting where necessary.

We are looking for a high calibre candidate with excellent people skills, sound transport experience and the ability to work effectively in pressurised situations.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A CPC qualification desirable
  • PC literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Previous routing/scheduling experience within a busy transport office essential (minimum 3 years preferable)
  • Full loads / manual planning
  • Demonstrate experience within a similar position
