Purpose: To provide assistance to our thriving Residential Conveyancing team. You will be involved in all conveyancing duties up to and following completion, supporting and partnering with our residential solicitors.

Essential Elements of the Role
- Good understanding of all aspects of Residential Conveyancing
- Providing purchase/sale/remortgage quotes to clients
- Prepare estimate of costs and initial paperwork
- Dealing with identification documents and understanding AML procedures
- Keep clients updated with an efficient and polite approach throughout the process
- Request searches, relevant documents, redemption statements, deeds and required information from the Land Registry, Search Providers, lenders and other 3rd parties.
- Draft Contract packs to buyerβs solicitor
- Liaise with clients, estate agents and third parties in writing, in person and on the telephone.
- Ensure all client personal information is recorded accurately in the case management system
- Ensure all relevant documents are saved and correctly named in the case management system
- Preparing bills and financial documentation
- Exchanging contracts and organising completions
- Updating and closing of matter files in the case management system and recording of client data
- Post completion work, including preparation of Stamp Duty Land Tax Returns, drafting applications to the Land Registry, deeds schedules, etc
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, company policies and procedures
- Meet the highest quality of ethical standards
Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience of working in Residential Conveyancing
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Able to prioritise and effectively manage conflicting priorities
- Able to work quickly and accurately with strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Effectively manage sensitive and confidential information
- Previous experience of dealing with financial information
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and legal case management system
