We are looking to recruit a Salaried GP for 6 sessions per week for Pavilion Medical Centre. Our preferred days for these sessions are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Hetherington Group Practice partnership runs two practices in Lambeth. This post is working at Pavilion Medical Centre which is based in the heart of Brixton in a modern building with a list size of about 8000 patients. We are part of the Brixton & Clapham Park PCN and we work collaboratively with our colleagues within the PCN and also Lambeth GP Federation.
Our GPs are fully supported by 1 Partner based on site, salaried GPs, Practice Nurse, Trainee Nursing Associate, Health Care Assistant, Clinical Pharmacists, Mental Health Practitioner, Social Prescriber, Care Co-Ordinators, a fully staffed reception and administration team and Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager & Team Leader. Our appointments run on a 'telephone first' system & online consultations. Our clinical system is EMIS Web, and our patients also have access to the Accurx online consultation system.
Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will:
- Provide primary medical services to our practice population
- Be responsible for patient related administration with the support from our admin/reception team
- Have a share of the daily Docman, Repeat Prescriptions and Test Results
- Assist in the achievement of QOF and other clinical targets.
- Provide clinical advice and support to medical and nursing colleagues

We offer 6 weeks annual leave per year, plus additional days in lieu pro rata for Bank Holidays that fall on a non-working day and 1 week pro rata study leave. Job responsibilitiesAs a salaried GP you will contribute fully to the clinical workload of the practice. You will provide consultations (telephone, face to face and online). You will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. Responsibilities will reflect requirements of the NHS GP Contracts, and as such may be subject to change as services adapt.
