Coxley House is a registered care home providing 24-hour support for up to 13 adults (18+) with mental health needs, referred by Social Services. The home offers 13 ensuite bedspaces, ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment for residents. Staff work closely with each individual to develop personalized care plans tailored to their unique needs. These plans encompass health management, medical appointments, coordination with professionals, family, and friends, as well as organizing social activities to promote well-being and engagement.

As a Team Leader at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Mental Health and Complex Needs. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence. A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

  • To support the Team Manager in the day to day running of the Registered Care Home within the regulations of the CQC.
  • To support the Support Workers to achieve the agreed standards of service delivery in compliance with relevant legislation, external governance, contract requirements and Hestia policies and procedures.
  • Lead on the implementation of the co-production strategy in the Care Home.
  • To ensure a healthy and safe environment for employees, service users, visiting professionals and other visitors by ensuring service delivery is in line with organisational procedures and H&S Legislation.
  • To engage in planning, negotiating and managing the service budgets.
  • To contribute to effective line management of Support Workers and Waking Night Workers (where appropriate).
  • To ensure the service meets the staffing requirements through recruitment and induction of new staff, volunteers and students.
  • Model the behaviour expected of staff including person centred support, reflective practice, co-production, recovery and other psychologically informed approaches.

  • Experience of working in accommodation-based support services for people with mental health and complex needs, and a strong understanding of Recovery approaches and co-production.
  • Experience of undertaking assessments, formulating plans of care, and recording and reviewing service users' support and safety plans.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with key stakeholders; service users, family, placement officers and a range of statutory, community and voluntary partners.
  • Knowledge of methods of assessing, formulating, implementing, recording, reviewing and auditing service users' support and safety assessment plans.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office systems, able to use computer systems including case management systems to create accurate reports.
  • Good knowledge of issues related to signs, symptoms and treatments of mental illness.
  • Good knowledge of CQC Standards and requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them.
  • Excellent level of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a 24hr rota system.
