At Hestia, we are guided by our core values and are dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organisation. Right now, we are looking for a Senior Recovery Worker to play a pivotal role in our Mental Health Crisis Alternative Service in Hammersmith and Fulham. In this rewarding role, you will manage a caseload of individuals requiring mental health crisis de-escalation, early intervention and preventative support, helping them build resilience and access the services they need to thrive.

You will take the lead on complex and high-risk cases, carrying out robust risk assessments, developing safety plans and working closely with partner agencies to ensure coordinated, person-centred support. Acting as a trusted advocate, you will empower service users to engage confidently with community resources. As a senior member of the team you will provide day-to-day guidance and support to Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers and volunteers, stepping into the role of shift lead when required to ensure safe and effective service delivery.

You will play an active part in developing future professionals by supporting Social Work and Mental Health Nursing students on placement through reflective practice, learning plans and constructive feedback. Alongside the Service Manager and Area Manager, you will contribute to service quality monitoring, audits, performance reviews and improvement initiatives, while also supporting recruitment, onboarding and volunteer engagement.

Representing Hestia within multi-disciplinary forums and partnership meetings, you will help drive innovation, co-production and service development, while embracing supervision, appraisal and reflective practice as part of our commitment to learning and excellence. You will bring substantial experience supporting people experiencing mental health challenges, including those with complex needs and dual diagnosis.

Comfortable working in fast-paced and sometimes crisis-focused environments, you will have a strong track record of managing complex cases, coordinating support across multiple agencies, and contributing to effective risk management and safety planning. You will be passionate about person-centred, strengths-based support and committed to helping individuals achieve their recovery goals. You will have a strong understanding of mental health, recovery-focused practice and trauma-informed approaches.

Confident in building positive relationships, you will work effectively with crisis services, community mental health teams, hospitals and local authority partners to achieve the best outcomes for service users. You will also be comfortable using MS Office applications and case management systems and have experience delivering or supporting co-produced activities, group programmes and community initiatives that empower individuals and strengthen recovery.
