Right now, we are looking for a GEC Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our Mental Health Service in Kingston.

As a GEC Coordinator, you will act as the central point of contact for volunteers and members of the Good Energy Club, coordinating a varied programme of physical activity, wellbeing groups, and community-based opportunities that promote health, independence, and social inclusion. You will recruit, train, support, and retain volunteers, ensuring a positive and consistent volunteering experience that reflects the diverse needs of service users. Working closely with community partners, healthcare professionals, and internal teams, you will develop strategic relationships, manage project budgets, maintain accurate records and outcome data, secure funding opportunities, and promote the club's activities. You will also empower members to shape and participate in the project, helping to increase engagement in physical activity and improve overall wellbeing.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. In this role, you will need experience delivering sports, wellbeing, or physical activity programmes to a diverse range of participants, including individuals with mental health support needs. You will possess a strong understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing mental health difficulties and demonstrate excellent communication, engagement, and customer service skills. Experience of managing groups, coordinating stakeholders, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team is essential. You should be highly organised, capable of producing reports, maintaining accurate records, and managing administrative responsibilities effectively. Strong time-management skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently are important, alongside a flexible and proactive approach to supporting service users and delivering high-quality services.
