Right now, we are looking for a Complex Needs Support Worker to play a pivotal role in our Domestic Abuse Service in Wandsworth. Sounds great, what will I be doing? The Complex Needs Support Worker will support individuals facing multiple challenges, including substance misuse, exiting sex work, domestic abuse, and/or co-occurring issues such as low-level mental health concerns. Based in a 9-bedroom complex unit, the role involves helping service users live independently, achieve personal goals, and maintain housing stability. This includes fostering strong professional networks, collaborating with partner agencies, reporting and following up on repairs, ensuring rent payments are made, and carrying out daily health and safety checks. The postholder will hold an allocated caseload, delivering regular 1:1 support sessions to assess needs, develop safety plans, and make referrals to specialist services. They will manage safeguarding concerns in line with policy, participate in multi-agency meetings, and ensure all case notes and assessments are up to date. The role requires a proactive approach to housing maintenance, adherence to health and safety standards, and a commitment to empowering service users to progress towards independence.
