This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Hackney Domestic Abuse Service, ensuring high-quality, responsive support for women, children, and young people affected by domestic violence. The postholder is responsible for maintaining service compliance with legal requirements, contract specifications, and internal policies.
- Key duties include supervising and developing staff, managing safeguarding protocols, monitoring service performance, and ensuring that service users are actively involved in shaping the support they receive.
- Working closely with the Service Manager, the role also contributes to financial oversight, health and safety, property management, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
- The position requires effective partnership working with a range of agencies, including schools, health professionals, housing services, and the police, to deliver a seamless, joined-up approach to support.
- The role includes mentoring apprentices and students, participating in recruitment and grievance processes, and contributing to a co-produced service model that promotes user empowerment and independence.
- The postholder must also be prepared to take on additional responsibilities in the absence of the Service Manager and participate in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota.

The ideal candidate will have experience promoting service user involvement and working within multi-agency environments, alongside the ability to use computer systems effectively for recording client and service information. Key skills and knowledge required include:

- Familiarity with relevant legislation, housing law, welfare benefits, and legal remedies for domestic violence survivors
