This is a fantastic opportunity to join Hestia's Central Services team as a Receptionist based at our modern London Head Office. Working within a small, friendly and supportive team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office while providing a professional and welcoming experience for staff, visitors, contractors and stakeholders.

No two days are the same, with responsibilities ranging from managing reception, coordinating visitors and handling incoming calls and deliveries, to overseeing office facilities, meeting rooms and maintaining a safe, clean and professional working environment. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys being organised, proactive and at the heart of a busy workplace.

In addition to reception and facilities management, you will support procurement and administrative processes, including processing invoices, coordinating orders, maintaining office resources, arranging maintenance works and supporting the effective operation of office systems and equipment. You will also act as the lead Fire Marshal for Head Office and help ensure health and safety standards are maintained.

What do I need to bring with me?

We're looking for a professional, organised and customer-focused individual who can act as the first point of contact for Hestia's Head Office. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a receptionist, administrative or customer service role, and experience working effectively as part of a team. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a positive and approachable manner, and the ability to build professional relationships with colleagues, visitors and external stakeholders.

A good understanding of workplace health and safety, GDPR and confidentiality principles is essential, along with the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and follow established processes and procedures is key, alongside a willingness to develop and improve administrative systems where appropriate.

Candidates should be comfortable learning new software packages quickly, maintaining accurate records and supporting a busy office environment. As the role includes facilities and office support responsibilities, applicants must be able to undertake light manual handling tasks, including lifting items up to 5kg, and demonstrate a proactive approach to ensuring the office operates efficiently and maintains high standards at all times.
