We are Hestia. We make a difference.

At Hestia, we are guided by our core values and are dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organisation. Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence. Right now, we are looking for a Resettlement Worker to play a pivotal role in our Homelessness service in Windsor and Maidenhead.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

As a Resettlement Worker within our RBWM Rough Sleepers service, you will provide person-centred support to adults who have experienced rough sleeping and homelessness, helping them move towards stable accommodation and greater independence. You will manage a caseload of service users living in temporary or settled accommodation, building positive and trusting relationships that support long-term recovery and sustainable housing outcomes. You will carry out comprehensive assessments, develop personalised support and housing plans, and work collaboratively with service users to identify their goals, strengths and aspirations.

You will support individuals to maintain their tenancies, improve their health and wellbeing, access education, training and employment opportunities, and engage with local services and treatment providers where required. Working closely with housing teams, healthcare professionals and partner agencies, you will play a key role in reducing the risk of homelessness and empowering people to take greater control of their lives. You will also maintain accurate records, contribute to safeguarding and risk management processes, and ensure that all support is delivered in line with Hestia's values and commitment to recovery-focused practice.

What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience supporting people who have experienced homelessness, rough sleeping or multiple disadvantages, alongside a good understanding of the challenges associated with mental health, substance use and tenancy sustainment. You will be skilled at building positive relationships, managing a caseload, carrying out support planning and risk assessments, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes. Strong communication, administration and IT skills are important, as is a commitment to safeguarding, recovery-focused support and empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and stability.
