Waking Night Support Worker - TH Cannon in London

The Waking Night Worker is responsible for ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of residents within a 24-hour supported accommodation service for individuals with mental health and complex needs. The role involves:

• Providing person-centred support during night hours
• Carrying out welfare and flat checks
• Managing crises and mental health relapses
• Supporting individuals with recovery goals, substance misuse issues and risk management plans
• Completing housing management, health and safety checks, CCTV monitoring, building patrols and other night-time caretaking duties

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience supporting people with mental health and complex needs
• Knowledge of recovery-focused approaches and co-production
• The ability to engage service users in assessments and support planning
• The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• A good understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices
• Strong communication skills
• Good IT literacy (including Microsoft Office and case management systems)
• The ability to maintain accurate records
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and bank holidays

Experience supporting people with substance misuse issues is desirable.
