Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence. Right now, we are looking for a Support Worker to play a pivotal role in our Complex needs Service in Croydon.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

  • Empower a caseload of service users to manage their health and wellbeing.
  • Support a staffing rota offering support to service users between the hours of 8am-10pm Mon-Sun each week.
  • Actively monitor wellbeing, mental health, housing and living environment to ensure service users journey into independence.
  • Take a solution focused and co-produced approach to supporting service users with their move-on into independent living.

  • Willingness to learn; lived experience of the areas we support is valued.
  • Experience working with people with mental health and/or dual diagnosis needs, gained through paid or voluntary roles.
  • Ability to learn quickly, gather and assess information, and make sound decisions while accurately recording and sharing information in line with confidentiality requirements.
  • Confidence in supporting individuals who may display challenging behaviour, using a calm, non-judgemental and solution-focused approach to de-escalate difficult situations and work collaboratively towards positive outcomes.
  • Resilience and optimism, with a strong belief in people's capacity for change, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes pressured environment.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding is essential, along with the ability to respond appropriately to concerns.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work unsociable hours, including early and late shifts and occasional weekends as part of a team rota.
