Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The main purpose of the role is to provide excellent quality supportand interventions to clients with mental health needs who require early intervention and prevention support . You willsupport clients throughout their time in service and empower them with the skills to cope independently. You will carry outsupport and interventions in line withorganisationalvalues and theethos of recovery and co-production, as well as in line with policiesand procedures

Here\’s What The Team Will Be Looking For

The ideal candidate will have lived experience of mental health care pathways, including emergency department attendance, acute admissions, and engagement with community mental health services. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with diverse mental health conditions and be able to communicate effectively while providing compassionate, respectful support. The ability to rapidly build and maintain trusting relationships with service users, carers, peer workers, and professionals is essential. Candidates must possess excellent listening and verbal communication skills to engage appropriately with individuals in crisis and collaborate with statutory and voluntary agencies, both face-to-face and over the phone. A good knowledge of local mental health recovery tools, wellbeing resources, and support services is required, along with the ability to assess needs, risks, and aspirations and provide accurate and empathetic signposting to appropriate services.
