If you’re passionate about supporting people to live their best lives, this is your opportunity to join a values-driven organisation where your work truly matters.

At Hesley Group, we put people first and recognise the hard work and dedication of all our colleagues. We’re committed to always being the best we can be, setting high standards and striving for excellence in everything we do. You don’t need any experience – just the right values.

As a Support Worker you will be supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities and intensive specialist support needs with their daily routines, supporting them to live life to their full potential and access experiences and activities. The people we support lead very active lives and enjoy activities such as theme parks and funfair rides, swimming, cycling, gym sessions and days out — so we’re looking for colleagues who feel confident getting involved and supporting them with the things they love. If you have a keen interest in one even better! No two days will be the same and you will be part of creating memories for the people we support.

This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to build a meaningful connection and support someone to live life to the fullest.

While the contracted hours are 37 per week, the majority of shifts will be long days, as these best suits the lifestyle, routines and preferences of the people we support. Your shift pattern can be discussed but must meet the needs of the service. Shifts include mornings (07:15–14:45), afternoons (14:15–21:45), long days and weekend work.

About You

We are looking for Support Workers who have a ‘can do’ attitude, with a calm and empathetic nature.

We value relevant experience and qualifications but they aren’t essential for the role. Above all, we are looking for someone who identifies with our core values of putting people first, being passionate about quality, prioritising safety and being progress focused.

If you hold a valid UK driving licence it is expected that you will also drive fleet/Motability vehicles as your role will also include ensuring that people we support can access their local community and undertake activities.
We are committed to building a stable and sustainable workforce to ensure that we provide the best continuity of care for the people we support. While we welcome applications from all candidates, some roles may require candidates to have the right to work in the UK without restrictions due to the nature of the service and staffing requirements. These roles may be prioritised for those with unrestricted right to work in the UK and due to our operational needs at the time.
If you live outside of Easingwold a driving licence and vehicle would be required, due to the rural location of the service public transport is not available.
