Overview
We are looking to appoint a Maintenance & Grounds Operative at our Denaby Main services. The role primarily involves responsibility for providing high standards of general maintenance to the buildings and grounds of the service. You will be responsible for ensuring the buildings are well maintained, repairs are rectified swiftly and that they comply with relevant health and safety regulations along with ensuring the grounds are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Travelling to other services from time to time. Working hours Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm. The role also involves checks on outdoor playing equipment, general external cleaning or repairs and site management duties. Physical and outdoor nature of the role that requires working in all weathers. Working in residential gardens, wider communal spaces and woodland areas.
Qualifications
Physically fit, enthusiastic with experience in a similar grounds or gardening role. Experience with hedge trimmers, pedestrian mowers, strimmers etc. Formal training will also be given. Good team player and ability to build positive relationships with the people we support and other employees.
