We are seeking an experienced and proactive Systems Accountant to play a pivotal role in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across Hesley Group. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the finance systems transformation programme, helping to replace our existing accounting software with a modern, efficient and scalable solution that will support the organisation's future growth.
Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, the wider Finance Team, and external implementation partners, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful design, configuration, testing, and deployment of the new finance system. You will review existing financial processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and help deliver streamlined, automated ways of working across the business.
Key responsibilities will include mapping current finance processes, designing and configuring ledgers and reporting structures, supporting data cleansing and migration activities, reconciling balances between systems, and carrying out comprehensive user acceptance testing. You will also play a leading role in developing robust financial controls and processes, including purchase-to-pay workflows, while identifying opportunities to integrate the new system with other business applications.
Following implementation, you will provide training and ongoing support to users across the organisation, ensuring colleagues are confident and capable in using the new system. You will continue to review processes post-go-live, identifying opportunities to maximise system functionality, improve reporting, and drive efficiencies.
This role would suit a qualified or part-qualified accountant with strong systems knowledge, project experience, and a passion for improving processes through technology. If you enjoy problem-solving, working collaboratively with stakeholders, and delivering meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you.
