At Meadow View, we are looking for engaging and positive Support Workers to join our team to support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
As a Support Worker, you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will help to ensure the people we support live a more independent, dignified and happy life. We are looking for forward thinkers who are able to offer new ideas on how to develop a person's opportunities and skills ranging from developing their own garden to cooking nutritious and different meals.
Not all support work will take place within the homes of the people we support. There will be lots of opportunities to access the local community and engage with the interests of the people you support. The people we support all have different interests and therefore we are looking for flexible and open-minded support workers to support with activities such as walking, days out to the cinema or visits to the seaside to name a few.
On a daily basis, you will have a strong support network from the management team at Meadow View. We are a proactive team and work in partnership to ensure the best support for colleagues is provided, so don’t worry if you are new to care, there is always someone you can turn to.
The shift patterns for this role:
- Earlies: Weekday 7:30am - 2:45pm, Weekends - 7:30am - 1:45pm
- Lates: Weekday 1:45pm - 10pm, Weekends 1:15pm - 10pm
About You
We are looking for Support Workers who have a 'can do' attitude, outgoing and caring but have a calm demeanor when needed. You don’t need to have experience but it is essential that you share our values. As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us. Our excellent training team will support you to become a qualified Support Worker, which could see you on your journey to a career in care.
