Do you have a compassionate approach to working with people? Are you committed to understanding people's needs and using evidence‑based practice to help people to flourish? We are looking for a Professional Lead for PBS Services to join us to support the delivery of high quality, person‑centred support to improve the quality of life of adults with learning disabilities. This is an exciting new role, created to strengthen and develop our PBS team and provision.

You will provide professional leadership for our PBS team, which currently includes 7 Behaviour Analyst posts and 3 Assistants. You will work closely with the Head of Applied Psychology & PBS on strategic initiatives, service development, and embedding evidence‑based Positive Behaviour Support across the organisation. As part of our Clinical Services team, you will collaborate with Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech and Language Therapy (SLT), Psychiatry and Practice Lead colleagues and join a peer group of professional leads for OT and SLT, fostering collaborative learning, practice and innovation. The clinical element of this role will focus on our North Hub (Barnsley, Easingwold, Scunthorpe). Travel to our other sites will be required in this role.

This is a full time role (part time will be considered).

We are looking to recruit someone who can:

  • Offer specialist clinical expertise in behavioural and skills assessments, formulation, and intervention, including complex casework and second opinions.
  • Promote co‑production with people we support, families, and carers to ensure people have a voice in planning their own futures, along with shaping service delivery and reducing restrictive practices.
  • Demonstrate extensive successful experience in working with autistic individuals and people with intellectual disabilities, to enhance their quality of life and reduce behaviours of concern.
  • Work as part of a strong multi‑disciplinary team (MDT) to deliver holistic, person‑centred care.
  • Train, coach, support and work collaboratively with care teams.
  • Provide professional leadership and supervision for PBS professionals, ensuring clinical governance and high standards of practice.
  • Drive quality improvement through audit, service evaluation, and feedback mechanisms, ensuring continuous development of PBS delivery.
  • Ensure robust clinical governance, safeguarding, and risk management practices are embedded within PBS service delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with professional standards, legal frameworks, and regulatory requirements, including UKBA(cert) registration.
