We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our Finance team at Hesley Group's Central Services office. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial processes of the organisation, including processing banking transactions, preparing payments, reconciling accounts and producing expenditure reports. You will play a key role in ensuring financial information is accurate, timely and available to a range of stakeholders, including operational services, budget holders and financial appointees of individuals we support. Working closely with the Group Management Accountant and wider Finance team, you will maintain financial records, monitor expenditure, prepare reconciliations and support the administration of prepaid card systems used across the organisation. You will also contribute to improving and streamlining reporting processes, helping to ensure the Finance function continues to provide an efficient and responsive service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with financial data, has strong attention to detail and is looking to develop their experience within a supportive finance team.

About You

You will have strong numerical skills and a good understanding of basic accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to manage your workload effectively and meet deadlines. You will be confident using Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, and be comfortable working with financial systems and data. Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records are important, as is the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable and trustworthy, with a collaborative approach and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately. You will enjoy working as part of a team while also being able to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities. Previous experience in a finance, accounts or analytical role would be advantageous. An AAT qualification, studying towards a professional accountancy qualification, or equivalent experience is desirable, as are advanced Excel skills. Most importantly, you will bring a positive approach, a willingness to learn and a commitment to delivering accurate and effective financial support across the organisation.
