As Director of Adult Services, you will lead the operational delivery, development and strategic direction of Hesley Group's adult services. You will be responsible for ensuring services operate effectively, safely and sustainably while maintaining the highest standards of care, compliance and performance.
Working closely with our Executive Team and Senior Leaders across the organisation, you will drive service quality, operational excellence and growth, ensuring our services continue to meet the evolving needs of the people we support, commissioners and stakeholders.
You will also oversee the delivery of key strategic objectives, contribute to organisational development plans and ensure adult services remain financially robust, innovative and outcome focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership, leading and develop high-performing operational teams across multiple locations.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, statutory and contractual requirements.
- Drive quality improvement, innovation and best practice across services.
- Hold responsibility for operational performance, budget management and financial sustainability.
- Develop strong relationships with commissioners, regulators, families and external stakeholders.
- Support organisational growth, development opportunities and new service initiatives.
- Monitor sector developments, legislative changes and emerging opportunities to ensure services remain progressive and responsive.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Quality, Therapeutic Services, Workforce Development and Corporate Services to achieve excellent outcomes.
About You
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a visible, values-led leader with significant experience operating at a senior level within adult social care.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A proven track record in senior operational leadership within health and social care.
- Experience leading multi-site residential, learning disabilities specialist services.
- Strong knowledge of regulation, safeguarding, legislation and best practice within adult social care.
- Experience delivering high-quality care services alongside strong commercial and financial performance.
- The ability to lead cultural change, organisational improvement and service development.
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience managing and developing senior leadership teams.
- Strong strategic planning, performance management and decision-making capabilities.
- A relevant professional qualification at degree level in Health, Social Care, Clinical Practice or a related discipline.
