About The Role
We are looking to appoint a Part Time Cook - 20 hours per week, within our service at Low Laithes located at Wombwell, Barnsley. The role of the Cook involves being responsible for all aspects of catering within the service. It is about making sure the kitchen produces attractive food to a high nutritional standard for a range of meals and occasions. The role requires an organised individual to draw upon a range of practical skills, have a sound knowledge base and, not least, the ability to communicate, understand people’s needs and build positive relationships with the people we support, your colleagues and visitors.
Hours of work will alternate between 10am-6pm. Please note the advertised salary is the actual salary
About You
If you are a patient, caring and understanding individual, working with the Hesley Group will prove to be a fulfilling and rewarding career. Ideally you will have some experience in a similar role and have a level 2 qualification in either catering/hospitality or food preparation. You must be reliable and have good communication skills but most importantly have a passion for delivering a great service. You will be joining a team who are passionate about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support and a company who values its employees.
