My client is a highly successful, continuously cool fresh food grill restaurant group. Due to its continued success and expansion, it is seeking a strong experienced Assistant Manager/Restaurant Manager to take responsibility for leading the FOH restaurant team, working closely with the kitchen to ensure that fantastic fresh food is presented to the highest standard with amazing service in a busy buzzing environment whilst having fun along the way!

The successful candidate will be an amazing door host, managing the flow of the restaurant & ensuring that the FOH teams’ floor plan is in place each shift, food is delivered on time, wait times are not too long, covers are maximised & the kitchen has a steady flow of orders coming through & customers are greeted with a warm, welcoming smile.

The Assistant Manager/Restaurant Manager is an integral part of the management team, working closely with a passionate GM & Deputy, and has responsibility for recruiting, developing & training new team members, motivating & leading them to do a great job whilst ensuring that they are constantly supported & developed, identifying strength and providing help when needed. The successful candidate will also work to ensure their team is driving sales, labour & stock levels are managed, deliveries arrive on time and any problems are handled & dealt with efficiently.

What we’re looking for:

  • A background of running quality branded restaurant operations (with table service), to at least Assistant Manager level.
  • A great door host – bright & bubbly with a welcoming smile & the ability & skills to manage the customer flow to ensure diners are happy, wait times are kept to a minimum, there is a steady flow & tables are maximised without bombarding the kitchen.
  • The personality & warmth to ensure all customers feel special & have an amazing guest experience every time they visit.
  • Experience of managing & developing a team – leading recruiting & training with the ability to motivate & use your own skills & experience to keep them inspired & show them how to provide the best customer service at all times.
  • The ability to identify talent, developing & growing the team internally whilst providing help & support where necessary.
  • Someone who is passionate & fun, creating a great atmosphere so that the team enjoy what they’re doing, service is amazing & customers are happy & have a great experience every time they visit.
  • The ability to manage a great team & give guests a great experience, thriving under pressure in a buzzing high volume restaurant.
  • The ability to drive & maximise sales & to be mindful of labour costs when planning, regularly reviewing & managing to ensure the restaurant is running efficiently & profitably without compromising on service & standards.
  • Strong BOH skills – the ability to manage stock levels & deliveries, taking action to ensure stock levels are maintained & addressing if there’s a problem.

Salary & Benefits: The starting salary for this role is £31,000 to £39,500 for a 45 hour week. The company really looks after its people & there is a quarterly bonus, incentives, food trips, free food when working & various exciting discounts. The restaurants are not open late nights so finishes are usually earlier than usual too!
