We're looking for an ambitious and hands-on Deputy General Manager who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume Restaurant & Bar environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong hospitality leader who enjoys being at the heart of the operation, supporting the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing high-performing teams, and driving commercial success.
What You'll Be Doing
As Deputy General Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the venue, helping to ensure every service runs smoothly and every guest leaves wanting to return. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the General Manager in the overall running of the business
- Leading from the front during busy services, ensuring standards remain high across all areas
- Coaching, developing, and motivating the management and front-of-house teams
- Driving a food-first culture within a high-volume operation, including private dining and corporate events
- Delivering consistently outstanding guest experiences across both restaurant and cocktail bar operations
- Assisting with labour management, cost controls, stock management, and operational efficiencies
- Working closely with the kitchen team to maintain quality, consistency, and service standards
- Taking responsibility for the venue in the General Manager's absence
- Helping to create a positive, engaging culture that attracts and retains great people
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Deputy General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Senior Manager within a high-volume restaurant and bar environment
- A genuine passion for hospitality, food, and guest experience
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, visible management style
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of key business drivers
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in a busy, high-pressure environment
- A natural team builder who leads by example and develops talent
