About the Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pastry Chef to join a well-established, highly respected hospitality operator in the Lake District, known for delivering outstanding food and consistently high guest experiences. Set in a stunning location, this is a busy, multi-faceted business with a high-quality restaurant (soon to be awarded a Rosette), alongside a small group of successful sites including hotels and destination dining venues.
The Role
- Take ownership of the pastry section within a high-quality kitchen.
- Lead and develop the pastry and dessert offering.
- Produce high-quality desserts, pastries, cakes and afternoon teas.
- Ensure excellent presentation and consistency across all dishes.
- Work closely with the kitchen team on menu development and innovation.
- Support the wider kitchen operation when required.
- Help maintain high standards of organisation, cleanliness and food safety.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or strong Sous/Demi/CDP Pastry Chef ready to step up.
- Experience in a fresh food, high-quality kitchen (Rosette experience advantageous).
- Strong skills in desserts, pastries, baking and afternoon tea production.
- Passion for locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.
- Creative flair with the ability to develop and refine dishes.
- A hands-on, positive and proactive approach.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy service environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
