The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

In this role you will be responsible for a critical vertical of the consumer facing technical product. You will be responsible for defining, building and executing the consumer strategy for your vertical. Specifically, you will come up with innovative product features to increase revenue as well as improve customer experience for Hertz owned and operated digital properties. You will also assist in identifying and evaluating new opportunities. This is a high-impact role and will require the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams including engineering, finance, marketing, and operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • You will set the product vision, identify opportunities, and build customer-facing products that raise the bar for customer experience.
  • You will own the roadmap for the product and guide engineering teams towards delivering the roadmap.
  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders across UX, data science, BI, engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and operations.
  • You will also be expected to elevate the quality of data instrumentation and analytics across the product line including customer analytics and system performance (e.g. latency, up time).
  • You will be required to monitor emerging business and technology trends, build corresponding strategies, get buy in with senior execs (VP, C-level) and drive adoption.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, applied math, data science, operation research or related field required, MBA or master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of technical product experience, leading the end-to-end product lifecycle required.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy, prioritisation and making complex trade-offs.
  • Demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold vision.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Ability to understand, discuss, and challenge architectural concepts, tradeoffs, and new opportunities with technical team members.
  • Experience working in agile environments and running/participating in scrum teams.
  • Experience with product delivery.
  • Balancing business and technical tradeoffs for a product.
  • Leveraging analytical skills and ability to dive deep to develop a nuanced understanding of product/customers and creating effective strategies.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and make high quality/high impact decisions in the absence of data and figure out how to gather data (through experiments, tests, etc) to support decisions.
  • Ability to influence (without authority) cross-functional teams to deliver products.
  • Experience effectively influencing senior leaders (VP, C-level).
