Skuld is now looking for a new Executive, Underwriting Operations, Hull for our Hull team in London. As an Executive, Underwriting Operations in Skuld, you will be part of a world leading marine insurance provider where service and competence is key. Responsibilities
- Control policy structure and numbers in our insurance system INS+ (e.g. insurance values, premium calculations, terms and conditions).
- Reconcile, register and close premium during the policy period using both Xchanging reports and closing BDX.
- Maintain and follow up records of accepted risks and register any actionable endorsements with changes in the system.
- Respond and follow up enquiries internally and externally with brokers.
- Work on broker relationship development where required.
- Work in compliance with current policies, instructions, guidelines and personal authority in Skuld Hull.
- Participate in weekly underwriting review meetings.
- Work closely with Business Operations both in London and Oslo and the Accounting Team in Oslo to trouble‑shoot and resolve any issues as they arise.
- Liaise with Skuld Legal and Asta Compliance teams to seek approval for vessels to call to Listed War Areas and maintain a log of all calls with a Russian touchpoint.
- Address weekly Russia Reporting emails and chase brokers for relevant documentation – keep compliance reporting templates up to date.
- Undertaking Pre‑Bind Quality Assurance (PBQA) for lead business checking contract certainty.
- Credit Control – constant and consistent monitoring and status reporting in quarterly management credit control review.
- Overseeing the administration of Lineslips and Binders, ensure all declarations are recorded in our CRM systems and have undergone KYC using Compliance Catalyst.
- Monitor all Lineslips and ensure that Skuld exposures are kept as up to date as possible.
- Monitor premium income for Lineslips.
- Assist in the development of electronic placing platforms such as PPL and Whitespace working towards process digitization.
