Role Description The Electrician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Rugby, supporting commercial and domestic projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, fixtures, and lighting in accordance with relevant regulations and company standards. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing troubleshooting, and completing routine and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical installations. Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electricity and electrical principles, with practical experience applying these in real-world installations.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including wiring, installation, and commissioning of commercial and domestic systems.
- Skills in maintenance & repair, with the ability to perform routine servicing and corrective work on electrical equipment and infrastructure.
- Effective troubleshooting abilities, including diagnosing faults, identifying root causes, and implementing safe, compliant solutions.
- Understanding of electrical engineering concepts relevant to building services and smart technology / energy-saving solutions.
- Recognized electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and current industry certifications; NICEIC experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), health and safety standards, and TrustMark or similar quality frameworks.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics, and to use appropriate tools and test equipment safely.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with a professional, customer-focused approach and attention to detail.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to work on-site across Rugby and the wider Warwickshire area as required.
