Hertsmere Borough Council are looking for Refuse/ Recycling Loaders, to join our efficient street cleansing, waste and recycling collection service within and around Hertsmere.
The job involves collecting all types of refuse and recycling waste, from litter bins, residential bins and trade bins, and loading them into the refuse vehicle. You will need to have excellent fitness levels and be capable of walking for 8 to 12 miles per day.
You will need proven experience of heavy manual work involving lifting, and be capable of pulling and emptying refuse bins. You should have a customer service approach to service delivery, communicating positively and working efficiently in a team. You should be self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
