Join our Policy & Partnerships team and help shape how projects are delivered across Hertsmere Borough Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, influencing major programmes and supporting services to achieve real outcomes for our communities. You will work closely with the Corporate Strategy Manager to embed a consistent, high-quality approach to project and programme management. You'll help develop new principles, tools and reporting frameworks, support Service Heads and Project Managers to deliver projects effectively, coordinate training and forums, and contribute to centralised monitoring and reporting to senior leaders. The role combines hands-on project support, data and reporting, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, public-service environment.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified or experienced project management professional who enjoys working with others to improve process and efficiency. You'll bring strong knowledge of project and programme management, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a collaborative, problem-solving approach. Experience in local government or complex organisational settings is welcome but not essential. We value inclusive, adaptable candidates who are customer focused, outcome driven and committed to learning, and we encourage applications from people with diverse backgrounds who can bring fresh perspectives to our team.

The post is offered as a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2028, on a full-time basis (36 hours per week).
