As Housing Allocations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the housing team, and shaping the Council's Housing Register, Choice Based Lettings system & wider housing objectives. You will oversee complex casework, ensure compliance with housing legislation, and drive continuous improvement in policies, procedures and service delivery. Working closely with partners across the borough, you will help develop innovative solutions to addressing housing need while ensuring services are financially sustainable, well governed and focused on positive outcomes for residents.
We are looking for an experienced housing professional with strong leadership skills, excellent judgement and a genuine commitment to public service. You will bring substantial experience in social housing or homelessness, a solid understanding of housing law, and the ability to manage teams, budgets and partnerships effectively. Above all, you will be a compassionate, inclusive and customer-focused leader who thrives on collaboration, embraces change, and is motivated by helping people find safe, secure and suitable homes.
The post is offered on a permanent, full time basis (36 hours per week). Benefits include:
