36 hours per week - Monday – Friday, based at Ware Campus SG12 9JF – Salary £48,365 - £50,925 per annum (Effective from 1st April 205) depending on qualifications and experience - Holiday Entitlement 35 days plus bank and public holidays per annum. Closing Date – 4th April 2025 @ Midday.

About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strong leader to join HRC as a Curriculum Area Manager (CAM) to oversee the Art and Design department. The Art and Design department is already an outstanding area within the college, and as a CAM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring it continues to maintain and enhance this high standard. You will work closely with the Director and other college managers to maintain exceptional provision by leading the planning, review, development, design, and implementation of a curriculum that meets the evolving needs of our communities and employers.
About You
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Art & Design or a related discipline, alongside a full teaching qualification and experience in leading a team. You will either possess, or be committed to obtaining, Assessor and Internal Verifier (IV) qualifications within a specified timeframe. Proven experience in teaching or training within Art & Design is essential. The role requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels, as well as external agencies, parents, and carers. A flexible attitude and approach are crucial, as is the ability to quickly and creatively adapt to new initiatives. You should be able to exercise leadership, fostering an environment of confidence, respect, and trust. Strong organisational skills are necessary to manage your own workload effectively, while a proactive mindset will enable you to tackle challenges with creative solutions.
