As a Digital Measurement & Analytics Expert you’ll play an integral role in our growing company. We’re seeking a talented and versatile Digital Measurement & Analytics Expert to join our Growth Team to architect and evolve our end-to-end data tracking ecosystem. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between our marketing efforts and product behaviour, ensuring a unified view of the customer journey across our web and mobile app platforms. You will lead the technical implementation of our tracking infrastructure, manage raw data modelling in BigQuery, and drive our experimentation roadmap through sophisticated A/B testing and behavioural analysis in Mixpanel.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Tracking Infrastructure & Governance
- Hybrid Tagging: Maintain and optimise a dual‑container tracking ecosystem using GTM Client‑Side and Server‑Side to ensure high data accuracy and "pixel insurance" against browser privacy restrictions (ITP/ATT).
- Full‑Stack Marketing Tracking: Manage the technical health of tracking for all major platforms, including GA4, Google Ads, Meta (CAPI), TikTok, LinkedIn and Awin, and set up new tracking where relevant.
- Data Integrity: Act as the gatekeeper for data quality, ensuring tracking keeps pace with website updates, new product releases, and custom JavaScript requirements.
- Behavioural Tracking: Architect and manage the Mixpanel implementation across web and mobile apps to track granular user actions (e.g., "Health Assessment Started," "Kit Registered").
- Identity Stitching: Implement advanced identity management logic to link anonymous web visitors to logged‑in app users, providing a true lifecycle view.
- Funnel & Cohort Analysis: Build and maintain product funnels in Mixpanel to identify friction points and drive retention strategies.
- Testing Framework: Lead the technical setup, based on system recommendations, and deployment of A/B and multivariate tests using tools like Optimizely, VWO, or Mixpanel Experiments.
- Statistical Analysis: Support with analysing experiment results to determine winning variations, focusing on conversion lift, user engagement, and long‑term retention.
- Deployment: Use GTM and feature flags to deploy experiments with zero impact on site performance or user experience.
- BigQuery Modelling: Develop and manage SQL models in BigQuery and Dataform to perform deep‑dive analysis on raw event data when standard UI reporting falls short.
- Unified Reporting: Create automated dashboards (Looker Studio/Mixpanel) that track key engagement and conversion metrics across our website and proprietary app.
All employees are required to work in alignment with Hertility’s Quality Management System and ensure their activities support compliance with ISO 13485 (Medical Devices) and ISO 27001 (ISMS), including following controlled processes, maintaining accurate records, and participating in required training.
What We’re Looking For
- Expert Proficiency: Google Tag Manager (Client & Server‑side), GA4, and Mixpanel.
- Technical Stack: Strong SQL for BigQuery and high proficiency in JavaScript for bespoke tracking and DOM manipulation.
- Platform Knowledge: Proven experience managing Conversion APIs (CAPI) and pixels for major ad platforms.
- Experimentation: Hands‑on experience designing and analysing A/B tests in a fast‑paced DTC or HealthTech environment.
- Privacy & Compliance: Familiarity with GDPR/HIPAA compliance regarding the handling of sensitive health data within tracking environments.
- Experience: 3+ years in a technical analytics role, ideally within a Shopify‑integrated or mobile‑app‑centric startup.
You will be working and reporting directly to Lucy, our VP of Growth. You’ll also collaborate with Jack, our Head of Engineering, Lorna, our Head of Data and AI and the wider Growth and Marketing team.
