Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the Inspiring Libraries 10-year strategy.
- Supervise the team at Bishop's Stortford Library, including staff timetabling, training and development.
- Support the Library Manager with statistical and financial data, Health & Safety, and act as senior on duty when required.
- Compile, maintain and provide effective monthly statistical information.
- Actively engage with the delivery and promotion of all frontline services in the library and outreach activities.
Qualifications
Essential
- Experience or knowledge in delivering a high level of customer service and resolving customer queries.
- Ability to supervise a team using collaboration and delegation to achieve aims.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, managing workloads and supervisory responsibilities methodically.
- Skills to support maintaining Health & Safety, Property, and training requirements in the workplace.
Desirable
- Reliable and flexible team player willing to engage with the full range of services, activities and events that libraries offer.
Requirements
- Applicants must be resident in the UK with established proof of right to work; sponsorship is not available.
- Level 7 role.
- English fluency: the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential.
