We are seeking an organised and proactive Business Support Supervisor to lead a small team across services based in Welwyn Garden City and Bishop's Stortford. The role includes managing three Business Support Officers and two remote Senior Officers, travelling across between sites, so a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential. About the role: You will split your time between remote working and site visits, providing day-to-day guidance and support to our Business Support Officers, ensuring high-quality business support is delivered across all locations. The role also requires experience of HR responsibilities, including staff supervision and performance management. Our team is based within our Supported Living Services. These services are the homes of adults with learning disabilities who are directly supported by an Adult Care Services team. Together we work to enable the people we support to lead independent, fulfilling, and fully enabled lives.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience supervising a small team
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Experience with HR responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills across dispersed teams
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach

Requirements

You will need the ability to drive and/or travel around Hertfordshire, either using your own mode of transport or a company car to travel to other locations. English fluency: The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post (for those whose language is a signed language the provision of a sign language interpreter who speaks English to the necessary standard of fluency will be required).

Application

If you are motivated, confident in leading others, and enjoy a varied, fast-paced role, we would welcome your application.
