The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Main base is Stevenage, although your day will be planned around the needs of the sites. We are a county wide service. As well as the store at Head Office, each gypsy and traveller site has an equipped site office where you can prepare for your day and access materials needed.

Work is varied - carrying out fence repairs, plumbing fixtures to maintaining brick work and pre planned maintenance. Maintaining tidiness in public areas, and to encourage tenants to keep their plots presentable.

Responsibilities
  • Required to take the on-call phone one week in every eight as part of our out of hours service. The out of hours cover a 7 day week and are: 16:00pm - 08:00am Monday to Friday and 24 hours a day on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Carrying out reactive/emergency maintenance as well as planned improvements on our residential sites.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks including fence repairs, plumbing fixtures, brick work, and general upkeep of public areas.
  • Ensure tidiness of public areas and encourage tenants to keep their plots presentable.
  • Maintain records of general maintenance skills and experience.
Qualifications
  • A full manual driving licence.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good record keeping skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Organisational skills / Time management.
Desirable
  • A building qualification in either Electrical, Plumbing or Carpentry.
  • Competent with Microsoft IT packages to manage training records, emails and electronic calendar.
