About The Team
Our Child Protection Conference Team plays a vital role in supporting Hertfordshire’s statutory child protection processes. We work closely with social workers, the Child Protection Chairs, partner agencies, and families to ensure that every Child Protection Conference (CPC) is run with accuracy and transparency.
About The Role
As a Statutory Child Protection Conference Report Writer, you will attend conferences, produce accurate and impartial reports within statutory timescales, support participation by ensuring the timely distribution of reports, upload reports to LCS, and minute other meetings as required. The role offers significant professional reward and meaningful challenge. It involves handling sensitive material and can be emotionally demanding, but provides a genuine opportunity to contribute to positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families. Your reports must be clear, accurate, and support informed decision‑making.
About You
- Able to work objectively and with resilience, maintaining professionalism in challenging or pressurised situations.
- Demonstrates strong written communication skills, producing clear, accurate, and well‑structured written work.
- Ability to manage and process sensitive, distressing, intimate, and sexually explicit material appropriately, in line with safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection requirements.
- Competent in the use of IT systems and standard office software to support effective service delivery.
- Ability to analyse, interpret, and summarise complex information clearly and accurately.
- Works effectively as part of a team, contributing positively to collaborative working and shared objectives.
