About the team An opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Handyperson. Our Team consists of 1 Registered Manager, 1 Deputy Manager, 1 Office manager, 3 Senior ARC Worker,10 ARC workers and 1 cleaner. The successful candidate will support the children in the house to maintain the home. Do you enjoy supporting children and young people and do you have experience in property maintenance and repairs? We are looking for a handy person to join our team, who will be working within residential services for young people, staff office areas and other onsite buildings used by staff and young people. You will need to be flexible, approachable and able to work on your own initiative. The handy person’s role is to support the children and young people in the home to live in well looked after home and to ensure the buildings, outside areas and environments are: Safe and meet H&S and HCC requirements Well maintained Fixture and fittings are in good order and areas are in good state of decoration Residential areas are homely Each day is different, and you will need to plan and prioritise tasks, in liaison with your line manager and the service needs. There is a handy person folder where staff detail any jobs required and there will be times that jobs are not listed. In these times you will need to plan general maintenance tasks such as gardening, window cleaning and jet washing…
