The predicted salary is between 25185 - 26403 £ per year.

We are looking to recruit a cleaner for our home in Baldock. This is an opportunity to work alongside a committed, friendly and creative team, where the home environment is an important aspect of care. We support children and teenagers who have been in hospital or preventative to going to hospital for mental health.

The cleaner works with a group of residential care staff, a handy person, cook and office staff to ensure that the home is a clean, child friendly and homely place to live. As part of this role, you will be required to travel to other HCC Sites/Residences using your own mode of transport.

You will be completing a wide range of cleaning duties to a high standard in all areas of the home, in addition to overseeing COSHH, ordering provisions, ensuring health and safety in the home and ensuring daily and weekly cleaning schedule and equipment checks are completed on time. You will contribute to maintaining a home where children can thrive and feel nurtured. You will have direct contact with children, communicating and building relationships and trust with them. You will also be trauma-informed trained as part of the role.

About You

  • Essential: Previous experience of cleaning in a professional environment. You will need to be proactive and be willing to adapt to the challenges the home environment will bring.
  • Desirable: Experience of working in a child-focused environment. Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety regulations and guidance.
