About The Team

This is a client facing role primarily located at our Stevenage Young People’s Centre, with occasional travel to other Young People’s Centres across the North Herts and Stevenage area. The ability to travel is essential.

Our Business Support Service is a centralized unit formed to deliver a coordinated, consistent, and high-quality service supporting service delivery across the organisation. If you have great administrative skills and a strong customer focus, you could be part of it.

About The Role

You will provide vital administrative and front-of-house support, acting as a first point of contact for visitors and callers. Your responsibilities will include preparing and sending correspondence, taking minutes, answering and directing incoming calls, ordering supplies, and supporting visitors to the site.

About You

  • Essential:
  • You will be used to working to tight deadlines and with high accuracy in written correspondence.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skill abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages, Word, Excel
  • Experience in working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to plan own work over short timescales for routine or familiar tasks and processes and use your initiative to work independently
  • GCSE or Vocational equivalent, strong numeracy, and literacy skills
  • Enthusiasm and pride in your work
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in minute or note taking
    • Proven experience in an administrative or support role
