Responsibilities
- Support the Library Manager in actively supervising the team, including staff timetabling, training and development.
- Assist with the delivery and promotion of all frontline services in the library.
- Provide service and administrative support as directed by members of the Area Management Team.
- Ensure all staff actively promote the library to customers as part of the Inspiring Libraries: My Space strategy.
- Contribute to the strategy ambition of attracting more visitors through outreach and promotional activities.
- Support staff appraisals and act as senior on duty when required.
- Compile, maintain and provide effective returns for monthly financial and statistical information.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent communication and administrative skills with a passion for great customer care.
- Demonstrable experience in a supervisory role, leading a team to achieve aims and objectives set by the Library Manager.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, able to manage workloads alongside supervisory responsibilities in a methodical manner.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and ability to support others using technology.
