Starting Salary: £37,035 with the opportunity to progress to £40,476 per annum (pro rata for part time) + £1000 welcome payment, lease car & relocation - terms apply.

Hours: Full-time, various shifts.

About The Role

As an Adult Care Services occupational therapist, you will manage your own caseload and collaborate with individuals living in the community across Hertfordshire. Your responsibilities include conducting holistic assessments to identify person-centered outcomes. We work in an enabling manner with people, their families, and carers to promote independence and participation through meaningful occupation and a strengths-based approach. Our goal is to ensure individuals receive appropriate support and advice at the right time. Our Connected Lives practice principles align closely with core occupational therapy values, aiming to connect people to the lives they wish to lead. We collaborate with social care colleagues, health partners, housing and care providers, and community support services. The role offers opportunities to mentor and develop colleagues.

Team Locations:

  • Older People Team East: Community Review Team, Welwyn Hatfield, Broxbourne
  • Older People Team West: Dacorum

About You

  • A recognized occupational therapy qualification and registration with The Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Adherence to The Royal College of Occupational Therapists’ standards and HCPC Standards of Proficiency.
  • Knowledge of relevant social care legislation such as the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Confident team player with good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work successfully with partners and agencies.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

This role requires a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. Driving and travel around Hertfordshire are required, using your own or a company vehicle. Fluent spoken English is essential for effective communication with the public.
