Job Description
VACANCY DETAILS:
Looking for a rewarding and challenging career in a vital policing environment? We are currently searching for a highly organised and customer focused Station Reception Officer to join our team.
As the Station Reception Officer, you will be the face of Hertfordshire Constabulary, providing outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders and ensuring that all visitors are greeted with warmth and professionalism. You will be responsible for face-to-face and telephone public access, giving information and assistance to members of the public, as well as administering some enforcement processes and oversee the storing, safekeeping and movement of evidence.
You will be managing enquiries in relation to property, returning property to its owner and sending unclaimed items to auction or charity. You will be using an IT system, so accurate keyboard skills are essential.
At times you will find yourself working under pressure, so you must be able to organise and prioritise effectively.
The successful candidate will be required to work a shift system involving evening and weekend working. The post holder may be required to work from different locations other than the home police station of Hatfield/Watford/Stevenage, therefore, a full driving licence and own transport is essential.

SHIFT WORK
Due to this role involving shift work, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment by the Occupational Health and Safety Department.
