Job Title: Learning Support Assistant- Construction
Location: Broxbourne Campus - Broxbourne, EN10 6AE GB (Primary)
Salary range and grade: S3 Actual Salary £20,068.20 - £21,211.71 p.a. based on full year worked and depending on qualifications and experience
Contract: Permanent, 36 hours per week
Holiday: Term Time Only - 36 weeks (Holiday included in Salary)
Closing Date: 3 February 2026 @ Midday

Join Hertford Regional College. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant in Construction, Motor Vehicle and Electrical courses.

About the Role
We are looking for inspirational learning support assistants who want to make a difference.
In this role, you will:
- Provide targeted support to Post-16 learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within the specified area
- Enable learners to access the curriculum, develop essential numeracy and literacy skills, and receive appropriate support during assessments and examinations
- Deliver 1:1 and group support to EHCP learners
- Adapt learning tasks and materials to meet individual learner needs and diverse learning styles
- Reinforce lesson objectives and assist learners with mathematical concepts and activities
- Promote learner independence through appropriate scaffolding and encouragement
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement effective differentiated strategies
About You
You will bring:
- GCSE Maths and English minimum Grade 4/C or equivalent
- Experience of working in learning support
- The ability to inspire, engage and support young people
- Experience supporting learners with EHCPs, particularly in Maths/English
