The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE to join our expanding Employment Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer looking to take the next step in their career by managing a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, supporting the development of junior lawyers, and helping to drive the continued success and growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising employers and senior employees on the full spectrum of employment law matters.
• Managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment work.
• Drafting and advising on contracts of employment, service agreements, policies, procedures and settlement agreements.
• Providing corporate support on mergers, acquisitions, restructuring projects and TUPE matters.
• Managing Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to hearing, including advocacy where appropriate.
• Acting as a trusted adviser to clients, developing long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to provide additional support across the firm.
• Supporting and supervising junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals, helping to develop technical expertise and confidence within the team.
• Taking ownership of complex client matters and providing guidance to junior team members on day-to-day issues.
• Playing a leading role in business development, networking, marketing initiatives, seminars and client training programmes.
• Contributing to the strategic growth of the Employment Team through client relationship management and new business generation.
• Working closely with Partners to further enhance the team's market profile and reputation.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• A minimum of 5 years' PQE gained within a recognised Employment team.
• Strong experience advising on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior lawyers and trainees.
• A proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.A genuine interest in business development and growing a practice.
• Strong networking and relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving.
• The confidence to work autonomously whilst remaining a collaborative team player.
