About the Role: We are looking for a Residential Property Litigator to join our Dispute Resolution team. In this role, you will manage a varied caseload of contentious residential property matters, taking ownership of cases from initial instruction through to resolution. Your work will involve:
- Landlord & Tenant Disputes – Advising landlords and tenants on leasehold disputes, service charge disagreements, and tenancy issues.
- Possession & Eviction Proceedings – Handling claims under the Housing Act 1988, drafting notices, and representing clients in court.
- Breach of Lease & Contract Disputes – Managing cases involving unpaid rent, unauthorised alterations, or other lease breaches.
- Boundary & Adverse Possession Disputes – Advising clients on land ownership issues, right-of-way conflicts, and adverse possession claims.
- Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) – Engaging in mediation, arbitration, and negotiations to resolve disputes outside of court where possible.
- Litigation & Court Representation – Drafting pleadings, preparing cases for trial, and representing clients in court and tribunals.
- Compliance & Regulatory Matters – Ensuring clients meet housing law and landlord‑tenant regulations.
You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining strong client relationships by providing practical, commercially focused advice and ensuring a solutions‑driven approach to dispute resolution.
What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a confident and proactive solicitor who:
- Has 2 - 4 years PQE in property litigation or dispute resolution.
- Demonstrates strong technical knowledge and the ability to handle a variety of residential property disputes.
- Possesses excellent drafting skills, including correspondence, pleadings, and witness statements.
- Is commercially astute, with a focus on delivering practical and cost‑effective solutions.
- Has exceptional client care skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with clients from all backgrounds.
