I've spoken to a few Services and Utility Coordinators or Managers who have had to move out of the new build industry in recent years due to the folding of several of the larger contractors. Fancy an opportunity that offers you the chance to not only get back into the industry at a fairly stable time, but to join a new build contractor who are at their busiest time ever hence looking for you to join?

In addition, you'd be joining a family firm immune to some of the pressures of the bigger PLC builders, one who have a very good pipeline of land-led sites over the next 2-3 years and one where you'd be joining as their very first Services and Utilities Manager – it’d be nice to put a stamp on that job and make it your own, right?

They’re a contractor currently on site on some of the most exciting projects in the Northwest although their pipeline is generally new build housing association plots – from timber and traditional build houses up to large scale apartment builds. You'd be office based (Salford and then soon to be North Manchester) but spending half of your time on their sites, too (which are dotted around Greater Manchester) and doing the general works like pre-call off inspections, managing that process, registering plots for services etc.

You'd be the new bod into the business in this role so while they obviously have experience of this, you'd be allowed to bring in some new ideas and implement the best possible practices (as have previous employers into new roles).

They'll be offering you a top salary between £40,000 to £45,000 plus your car allowance, business mileage and a really good set of benefits including a bonus in addition.

We're looking to get people interviewed around January with a view to a February start and with the business going through a heavy recruitment drive, it’d be the best time to join and get your 2026 off to a bang.

Summary
  • Utilities and Services Manager required for Northwest new build contractor.
  • 50% in the Salford/North Manchester office and 50% on their residential sites in Greater Manchester.
  • To join a growing business with some amazing sites including one TRUE flagship site of 400 units.
  • Looking at a February start with a salary up to £45,000 plus a generous package.
