Job Summary
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Senior Inspector leads the inspection team, ensuring all activities comply with AS9100, company procedures, and customer requirements. The role focuses on quality, team supervision, CMM operation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CMM machines using PC-DMIS and accurately interpret measurement results
- Supervise and lead inspection activities, ensuring adherence to procedures and AS9100 standards
- Ensure inspectors are fully trained and competent in inspection methods, tools, and equipment
- Maintain all tools and test equipment in calibrated and serviceable condition with proper documentation
- Oversee accurate and timely completion of inspection records, reports, and documentation
- Drive continuous improvement of CMM programs, SOPs, and inspection processes
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCAP), reporting findings effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain workflow, support self-inspection initiatives, and ensure on-time delivery while adhering to safety and compliance standards
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years’ aerospace inspection experience
- Strong GD&T and technical drawing knowledge
- PC-DMIS (Level 1 minimum)
- Experience with FAIR software and AS9100
- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
