Located in Runcorn, United Kingdom, our newly extended 120,000 sq. ft. facility is a fully integrated site offering comprehensive manufacturing, repair, and overhaul services to the major players in the landing gear industry. Designated as a Center of Excellence, the facility specializes in surface treatment and assembly of small to medium sized landing gear systems.
As a key part of the Centre of Division, supports several global programs, including: Gripen – SAAB, Hawk - BAE Systems, KF21 - Hanwha Aerospace, AW101 - Leonardo Helicopters. With a strong focus on cutting-edge technology, advanced manufacturing processes, and lean techniques, we are committed to delivering high-value, precision-engineered components for complex landing gear systems.
Working as part of a team of Technicians, you’ll be responsible for the disassembly and survey of a variety of hydraulic assemblies undergoing repair or overhaul; from simple actuators to complex Landing Gear systems. Following a period of training and gaining familiarity of the products in the disassembly role, the job will progress to a survey position. This is where your knowledge of working with tight tolerances and keen eye for detail will come to the fore, as the survey role involves detailed inspection of each component using Component Maintenance Manuals and Approved Repair Schemes for guidance. The outcome of this survey is a completed survey report, containing details of any required rework schemes to be applied.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Engineering Repair Schemes, and technical drawings to support accurate survey and inspection activities.
- Carry out visual inspection and survey of hydraulic components, ensuring compliance with required tolerances and quality standards.
- Use precision measurement equipment (e.g., verniers, micrometers) to assess component condition and dimensional accuracy.
- Participate in the build, test, strip and, where required, fault‑finding of simple and complex hydraulic units.
- Work to controlled documentation in accordance with regulatory and quality standards (AS9100/AS9110).
- Record survey details and findings using designated software tools.
- Apply 5S principles to maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area.
- Work independently when required, demonstrating initiative, accuracy, and strong attention to detail.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to interpret CMMs, Engineering Repair Schemes, and component/assembly drawings.
- Strong understanding of tight tolerances and experience using precision measurement tools.
- Experience in visual inspection, survey work, or hydraulic build activities.
- Experience working to regulated documentation within a quality‑controlled environment (AS9100 or AS9110).
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Commitment to maintaining 5S principles.
