Division Information

Located in Runcorn, United Kingdom, our newly extended 120,000 sq. ft. facility is a fully integrated site offering comprehensive manufacturing, repair and overhaul services to the major players in the landing gear industry. Designated as a Center of Excellence, the facility specialises in surface treatment and assembly of small to medium sized landing gear systems.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring sales and cost of goods sold are accurately reported
  • Producing accurate and insightful commentary on sales margins
  • Identifying areas of overspend and working with the business to minimise the impact
  • Inventory reporting, provision calculations and co‑leading the annual stock take with the Logistics Manager
  • Active role in producing financial forecasts and budgets
  • Improving and streamlining reports tailored to business need
  • Working with Operations and Programme Managers to deliver financial business objectives
  • Providing financial input on new business opportunities
  • Providing cover for the Assistant Controller as required

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Experience of business partnering and working across departments to deliver a positive change, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of cost analysis, inventory management, forecasting and budgeting
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and thorough approach to work, with good attention to detail
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility of work, managing workload to meet deadlines
  • High standard of IT literacy, and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be beneficial
  • Superb analytical skills, with strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Leadership potential and the ambition and drive to progress in the future
  • Objective/critical judgement required during financial reviews to deliver results
  • Good communication and presentation skills to be able to deliver financial and technical information to various stakeholders across the business
