To set and operate a range of CNC-controlled machinery within the company, ensuring production meets required specifications and quality standards.

Salary: Starting rate varies dependant on experience from circa £43,500 – £54,500 per annum (inclusive of 35% shift premium).

Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off, 12-hour shifts (30-minute unpaid break).

Overtime Rates: 1.5x the standard hourly rate for hours worked Monday through Saturday. 2.0x the standard hourly rate for hours worked on Sundays. If operating multiple machines, a bonus of £2.00 per combined hour is applied.

There is plenty of room to grow over time and develop expertise in this role to achieve higher grading rates.

Location: We are based a 5-minute walk from Kirby in Ashfield Train Station. Urban Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottingham, United Kingdom, NG178AP. We can offer a relocation package for the right candidates.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC machines, including: DMG DMC 160U, WFL 120 / WFL 65, MAZAK E500, MAZAK Integrex i-400, CINCINNATI FTV5, UNION TC110, TOS VARNSDORF WHN130MC, MCM Tank 1600 MP10 (10 pallets).
  • Produce precision machined components and tooling items to specification.
  • Perform quality checks throughout batch cycles.
  • Accurately record quantities and time allocation using company systems.
  • Conduct regular machine maintenance as per schedules.
  • Carry out any other duties within the scope of the role as requested by Senior Management.

Skills & Qualifications:

The role will involve setting and operating a variety of CNC 3/4/5 axis machines, dealing with Aluminium, Steel and Titanium components to tight tolerances. Must have good level of understanding in using either Fanuc / Heidenheim / Mazatrol / Siemens machine control systems; and also willing to develop further CNC machining skills and abilities.

Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by Senior Management.
